If you need to set it up yourself, follow these steps to connect the router, switch it on and get your devices online.\n\n### Before you start\n\nInside your Hyperoptic box, you should have:\n\n**•** Hyperhub router\n\n**•** Power adaptor\n\n**•** Ethernet network cable\n\nYou’ll also need access to your Hyperoptic wall socket or fibre converter.\n\n### Set up your router\n\n**1.** Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the WAN port on the router.\n\n**2.** Connect the other end to the Hyperoptic wall socket. If your home uses a fibre converter, connect it to the LAN or LAN1 port on the converter.\n\n**3.** Connect the supplied power adaptor to the router and plug it into the mains.\n\n**4.** Switch on the wall socket, then press the router’s power or on/off button.\n\n**5.** Wait a few minutes for the router to start up.\n\n**When the Internet light is green, broadband is active. The Wi-Fi light may take another couple of minutes to turn green.**\n\n### Connect your devices\n\n**Wi-Fi:** Choose the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) shown on the router label and enter the printed password. Some older routers show separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks; try 5 GHz nearby for faster speeds and 2.4 GHz for greater range.\n\n**Ethernet:** For the best possible connection, plug your device into any LAN port using an Ethernet cable.\n\n**Phone service:** Connect a compatible handset to the Phone, Phone 1 or TEL port using an RJ11 cable. If you need to set it up yourself, follow these steps to connect the router, switch it on and get your devices online.\n\n### Before you start\n\nInside your Hyperoptic box, you should have:\n\n**•** Hyperhub router\n\n**•** Power adaptor\n\n**•** Ethernet network cable\n\nYou’ll also need access to your Hyperoptic wall socket or fibre converter.\n\n### Set up your router\n\n**1.** Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the WAN port on the router.\n\n**2.** Connect the other end to the Hyperoptic wall socket. If your home uses a fibre converter, connect it to the LAN or LAN1 port on the converter.\n\n**3.** Connect the supplied power adaptor to the router and plug it into the mains.\n\n**4.** Switch on the wall socket, then press the router’s power or on/off button.\n\n**5.** Wait a few minutes for the router to start up.\n\n**Setup is complete when the Power, Internet, WAN and WLAN lights are green.**\n\n### Connect your devices\n\n**Wi-Fi:** Choose the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) shown on the router label and enter the printed password. Some older routers show separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks; try 5 GHz nearby for faster speeds and 2.4 GHz for greater range.\n\n**Ethernet:** For the best possible connection, plug your device into any LAN port using an Ethernet cable.\n\n**Phone service:** Connect a compatible handset to the Phone, Phone 1 or TEL port using an RJ11 cable.
