Overview

Setting up your router correctly is the first step to getting the best performance from your Hyperoptic service.

Most customers can complete their router setup in just a few minutes.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

• Your Hyperoptic router
• The power cable
• Any network cables provided
• Access to a power socket

If your property uses a separate network terminal, ensure it is already installed and powered on.

Connect your router

1. Position your router in your chosen location.
2. Connect the network cable to the correct port on your router.
3. Connect the power cable.
4. Switch on the router.

The router may take several minutes to connect.

Check the router lights

Your router’s status lights indicate whether your connection is working correctly.

Refer to your router guide for information about specific light patterns and their meanings.

Connect your devices

Use the Wi-Fi network name and password shown on your router label or in your setup guide.
