Download (Mbps)
How quickly data reaches your device (streaming, browsing, downloading files).
Your results will give you an overview of how your broadband is performing right now. Here’s what each metric means:
How quickly data reaches your device (streaming, browsing, downloading files).
how quickly you can send data (video calls, cloud backups, sharing large files).
How responsive your connection feels (gaming, video calls, real-time apps).
How stable your latency is over time (important for calls and gaming).
If your results don’t match what you need, you’ve got a few clear routes forward:

A speed test is only as reliable as the setup you test on. Before you draw conclusions, try to run the test on Ethernet if you can, as WiFi is often the limiting factor-especially through walls or at distance, and pause heavy usage on other devices (streaming, downloads, cloud sync and game updates) so you’re measuring your connection rather than shared demand.
Furthermore, if you use a VPN or proxy, switch it off temporarily because it can reduce speeds and increase ping. Finally, run two or three tests about a minute apart and look for the typical result, since one-off results can be noisy.

If your wired test looks lower than expected, or your Wi‑Fi performance has dropped, work through these steps and re-test after each one.
