Set Up Your Phone Service

Overview

If you’ve added a phone service to your Hyperoptic package, you’ll need to connect your equipment before you can make and receive calls.

The setup process depends on your router model and the type of phone equipment you use.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • Your Hyperoptic router
  • Your home phone handset
  • The phone cable provided
  • Access to a power socket

Connect your phone service

  1. Ensure your router is switched on and connected to the internet.
  2. Connect your phone handset to the designated phone port on your router.
  3. Wait a few minutes for the phone service to activate.
  4. Test your connection by making a call.

Check your equipment

If your phone service isn’t working:

  • Ensure all cables are securely connected
  • Confirm your router is online
  • Check that your handset is powered on, if required

Important information

Your phone service relies on your broadband connection and electrical power.

During a power cut or service interruption, you may be unable to make or receive calls, including emergency calls.
